Tips to ensure you get great pictures..

Tips to ensure you get great pictures at your photo session: 

 Clothing - Solid colored clothing is preferred. Try to avoid any designs, logos, or writing on shirts. Choose all similar colored clothing for family/group photos. If possible, wear long sleeves. 

Eyeglasses - If you wear eyeglasses bring them along to your photo session. We can take photos with and without the eyeglasses, and can edit out eyeglass glare when necessary. 

Makeup - We recommend that you do not wear heavier than normal makeup to your photo session. If you don't normally wear makeup skip it the day of your photo session as well. If you do wear makeup keep it light. 

Arrive Early - We recommend that you arrive about 15 minutes early to your photo session. This ensures that you nor we are rushed. When you are early we can fill out all the paperwork and get started on your photo session on time. We want you to be relaxed during your photo session. 

Props/Accessories- We will have a few props and accessories on hand for you to use at no u wan cost. However, we suggest that you bring along some personal items or props along with you to the photo session so that the portraits will be more personal. Some examples could be sports equipment, musical instruments, hobbies, pets, and more..

Location - Location is very important when having a photo session. Choosing a location that is comfortable and personal to you helps make the portraits better. We here at Dixie Girls Photography strive to provide a personal experience for all of our clients. We want to really tap into your personality and uniqueness and express that within your portraits. If you don't have a location in mind we do have several locations available upon request. 

Prepare to stay a little late - Just because you paid for a 1 hour session does not mean when we reach that hour I will stop shooting portraits. If I feel I need some more shots I will ask you to stay a little longer. Here at Dixie Girls Photography I strive to provide only the best portraits to my customers and will go over the initial time limit if necessary.  In addition, sometimes weather and uncontrollable circumstances may cause us to have to stop or get started later than anticipated. If this happens we will work over to get in the full session time that was paid for. 

Have Fun!! - This is the most important tip of all. In order to ensure that your portraits turn out great we ask that you relax and have fun with your portrait session. The more relaxed and comfortable you are the better your final portraits will turn out. So relax and have some fun with your photo session. Don't be afraid to get a little silly if you want to.. Remember, this is your photo session (not mine) so you make your photo session what you want it to be. You should strive to make your photo session really display your personality and character.
